mam sevilla's sub had us write a not-less-than-five sentences paragraph about any topic we want, just as long as we use the definition method of paragraph development.
i was laughing inside.
i have a pretty clear idea of what half the female (and maybe male) population of the class would write.
what else, diba? eh di love! ang walang kamatayang love. duh!
and sure enough, someone did write about it, citing definitions from reliable webster to the bible (the corinthians one, featured in a walk to remember).
joh and i were going to write about love, too, by the way. we were arguing over the subject one afternoon. i was being my cynical self, telling joh that love is simply nonexistent, that caring and compassion are better alternatives. he suddenly suggested that we expound on it through the english homework.
but the next day, he said we should drop the idea. right he is. it is a too common subject. practicaly boring because of overuse.
so i settled on scribbling a five-sentenced paragraph about star wars (which i am currently hooked on because of the whole forbidden love issue between anakin and padme) and joh did his piece on fishes (fish person as he is).
but grrr...i never imagined that my hurried paragraph would become an example i had to read in front of class. embarrassing really. had i known the rest of the class would hear my description of the famed george lucas saga, i would have articulated the whole thing well.
oh well..guess it just happens, doesn't it?
hmmm...so how was your day?
